This article talks about ensuring work safety and health of local organizations proceeding from EU policy. Safety and health at work represent an institutionalized set of activities aimed to ensuring the best conditions in working
process. An effective health and safety policy at work will result in avoiding accidents and reducing the incidence of professional diseases. Therefore, ensuring a high level of safety and health at work is one of the main objectives
at both macro and microeconomic level. Also, maintaining life and health of employees was always the focus of discussions at European and international level. Safety and health at work has been and is still one of the most important and advanced components of European Union social policy concerning employment and social affairs. Currently, in Moldova there are very few organizations responsible, concerned with improving working conditions of employees.
From this perspective, employers of local organizations don’t cope the challenges related to minimizing occupational hazards at work and, in the same time, they have a superficial approach on elaboration and implementation
of national and international legislation on safety and health at work. |
