The study addresses the issue of intercultural education in the broad context of new education, directly related to the holistic understanding of inclusive education. The practical aspects of the research are analyzed based on the results of a pioneering national project in the Republic of Moldova "Promotion and development of intercultural education in the initial training of teachers" (phase 1 and 2) - https://eic.prodidactica.md/. The initiative was implemented by the PRO DIDACTICA Educational Center, with the support of the PESTALOZZI Children's Foundation from Switzerland, in partnership with 6 universities in the country, during the years 2018-2023. The main objective of our research aims at the contextualized examination of two priority dimensions for current educational policies in the country and in the world in general: interculturality and inclusion. Their interdependence and junction is demonstrated in the process of training teachers and managers, in order to ensure the quality, access and relevance of the educational act, with an emphasis on sustainable results and social relations of cooperation and tolerance. |
