Theolinguistics is a linguistic branch that was formed at the end of the 20th century as a result of the overlapping of the fields of religion and language. This direction of research, well-defined in Russian, Polish and other countries’ linguistics, is located in the anthropocentric paradigm of current linguistics. Although the religious text and language represent a constant concern for Romanian researchers, studies in this direction are not unified under the umbrella of theolinguistics, a term that is not found in Romanian specialized dictionaries and is completely neglected in linguistic studies up to the current date. Therefore, in this article we intend to bring this term, accepted and used in other languages (English, Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, etc.) to the Romanian linguistic field, and to review the achievements of researchers in the field of theolinguistics. |
