The development of social entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova is a relatively new field, which faces various legal, cultural and political problems. The need to address this topic stems from the international trend towards smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. At present, social entrepreneurship is not sufficiently developed, even if there is a basis of legislation at national level, but this sometimes runs counter to other legal provisions, which make it difficult for businesses to work. However, it is a success that such enterprises exist in the Republic of Moldova, and they show that our state is ready to change its vision and work to create an environment favourable to sustainable development.
