The purpose of the study is based on the fact that policy debates tend to focus on such well-known statistics as inflation and unemployment data, which are sometimes called the “two misfortunes” of macroeconomics. High levels of inflation and unemployment are of great concern in society, and their consequences are immediate and obvious.The study used such general scientific methods as: modeling and statistical analysis. Used quarterly empirical data on macroeconomic variables from 2010 to 2018.The research results are expressed in the concept of growth, which affects prices for almost everyone, and only a few workers can be sure that they will never lose their jobs. Moreover, for a long time in macroeconomics there has been an idea of the existence of a relationship between unemployment and inflation. The results of empirical assessments showed that inflation in Moldova is a rather inertial process, which means that a one-time surge in inflation caused by an external shock will be felt in the economy for some time.
