Current State of Affairs: The field of artificial intelligence (AI) has witnessed rapid advancements in recent years, with widespread applications in various sectors. As AI technology continues to evolve, it is crucial to assess the associated risks and benefits comprehensively. Research Objective: The primary goal of this study is to analyze the risks and benefits linked to the development of AI. We will delve into the multifaceted landscape of AI's impact on society, focusing on its potential advantages and challenges. This research aims to provide an up-to-date overview of the current state of AI. Research Methods: To achieve this objective, we will employ a mixed-methods research approach, including: 1. Literature Review: We will conduct an extensive review of academic and non-academic sources to gather insights into the latest AI developments, applications, and the associated risks and benefits. 2. Surveys and Interviews: Primary data will be gathered through surveys and interviews with AI experts, policymakers, and individuals affected by AI technologies. This qualitative data will provide real-world perspectives on the subject. 3.
