Rezumat

The results of the conducted researches were obtained within the project 20.8009.5107.12 ” Strengthening the chain "food-animal-production" by using new feed resources, and innovative sanitation methods and schemes”, organized and carried out wit-hin ME ”PB Nord”LLC, located in Bleșteni village, Edineț district. In the paper are presented the results of studies on the parental herd of the Hubbard breed of chickens imported into the Republic of Moldova, bred for the reproductive cycle from the age of one day to the end of the laying cycle, which showed optimal efficiency parameters for the studied indicators as: evolution of body weight throughout the investigation period, egg production per laying cycle, feed consumption per unit production (weight gain, 10 eggs, 1 kg egg mass), and the viability of the herds over the considered period. In addition, satisfying the physiological requirements of breeding birds (roosters and hens), for each stage of their growth and preparation for sexual maturity by maintaining the intensity of their growth processes allows them to achieve positive results during the growing and productive period, as a means of ensuring adequate growth and development.
