Doctoral studies in the European context are an integral part of the European area of higher education. The Bologna process played a substantial role in shaping legal studies, aiming to ensure the integration of higher education systems into the great European family. Legal doctoral studies are a significant part of legal education. Doctoral studies aim to improve the understanding and management of the challenges faced by the legal world at global, national and local levels. The training of European jurists implies the study of current legal systems, of their interference determined by the single European space where the combination of national legislations takes place with the European one. Through this approach, future doctors of law will acquire knowledge of the highest level and especially skills that facilitate the solution of critical problems in a responsible way and allow innovation and rethinking of traditional ideas for their adaptation to new circumstances. |
