| Rezumat | ||||||
The United States of America has been a steadfast partner in supporting regional development in Moldova since 1992 [16, p.1]. Through federally-funded development agencies, as well as the partnership between Moldova and the state of North Carolina, the United States has contributed to development in infrastructure, democracy building, and financial self-sustainability. This development has increased Moldova’s capabilities to support and protect its citizens, and increased their quality of life. In this article, I endeavor to investigate the ways in which the United States federal (and North Carolina state) government has assisted development efforts in Moldova, and analyze the importance of these development efforts for the future of Moldova and future US-Moldova relations. |
