The paper presents the analysis results of evolution stages of the scientific research carried out and the contribution of the scientists in the development of the direction of the cultivation of shrubs species within the Institute of Scientific Research in Fruit Growing, Viticulture and Winery from Moldova in the period year 1946 to present, in which they were involved over 70% women – research-ers. The scientific research was carried out by the scientists from the section Se-lection and improvement of the fruit and shrubs: Dr. Dushutina Csenia (years 1946–1964), Dr.hab. Maciucova Olga (years 1958–1974), Dr. Policarpova Lilia (years 1958–1975); of the group of shrubs within the section Fruit nursery: Dr. Policarpova Lilia (1976–1989), Dr. Belous Nadejda (1980-1989), Sava Parasco-via (1982–1984). Scientific-practical research continued in the Shrubs crops la-boratory (IP SPIHFT) from 1984 – to present by Dr.hab. Sava Parascovia and collaborators: Bondarenco Parascovia, Tcaci Valentina, Gheorghiţă Nina, Ca-terenciuc Cristina, Calaraş Cristina, Rusnac Cristina, Gherasimova Elena. Throughout the development period of the Institute, the scientific and practical research was carried out regarding the study, creation of varieties, improvement, modernization of technologies for the planting material production, cultivation of shrubs and implementation in production. By the scientists: Dushutina Csenia, were created 4 new strawberry varieties (Mergele, Frumuşica, Orighinalinaia and Chishinivscaia), was selected 1 local strawberry variety – Moldovanka, 1 local raspberry variety – Chishinivscaia and were studied more than 300 strawberry and raspberry varieties; Maciucova Olga – studied more than 200 varieties of raspberry, currant, gooseberry; Policarpova Lilia – studied more than 200 varie-ties of strawberry, raspberry, currant, gooseberry; Sava Parascovia – were stud-ied more than 150 varieties of shrubs species, the results of which contributed essentially to the development of the shrubs sector in the Republic of Moldova.
