Rezumat

Motivating at-risk EFL high school students to write can be a bit daunting. These students usually lack the skills and they have no motivation for writing in L1, which generally means, they have no motivation for writing in L2 or L3. This article shows that with the introduction of a simple tool as individualized education plan (IEP), along with student collaboration and selfregulation, these students cannot only be motivated to write, but in the process gain confidence.
