In this article we set out to present music from the perspective of science re-search, psychological and physiological effects. The first scientific researches appeared in the18th century, which attested to the effects that music has on the human psyche. The subject covered in the study "Reflections on the power of music" was resumed with interest later, espe-cially in the twentieth century, when the foundations of a true science of music therapy were laid. Also, in the first part of the article we describe the process of perceiving music and its psychological effects on humans. The second part presents music - medically speaking, the im-provement of the body's functions and its use as a treatment for both relaxation and healing.
