The physico-chemical analysis of the water from the 4 sources of Chisinau municipality located in different sectors, determined changes in the following water quality indices, namely: hardness, nitrate and nitrite content, alkalinity and fixed residue. Indexes that indirectly influence the evolution of cardiovascular diseases. The results of the research highlighted changes in the majority of drinking water quality indicators. Respectively, in none of the investigated springs the water does not meet the hygienic standards. Also, among the population that uses the water of these springs for food, a trend of increased morbidity due to cardiovascular diseases was observed. Thus, the connection between polluted water and cardiovascular disease was experimentally highlighted.
