This essay analyses the concept of child trafficking through time, the origin of the term and its association with commerce. By providing data from UNICEF, this essay outlines the measures the international organisation takes in order to prevent child trafficking. The main effects child trafficking has on children's lives are listed, along with the emotional, psychological, mental and physical trials children go through. The legal regulation of child trafficking in the Republic of Moldova is quoted. The essay concludes with the idea that the prevention and tackling of child trafficking is a common effort of both the authorities and the society. |
