In this article we tried to synthesize the most relevant information on Environmental Education, showing its origins, the importance of this field for contemporary society, its definitions, as well the educational perspectives that this field opens for studies. Our purpose was to provide those interested a working tool on which to continue research on this type of education, starting from a theoretical basis that would allow a good understanding of the terminology and significance of Environmental Education for the whole society. |
