This paper analyzes the changes in productivity across the 27 member states of the European Union during the first wave of the COVID-19 outbreak by comparing GDP growth rates, total employment and productivity changes with data extracted from the previous year, same period. The paper also discusses through literature review how effective is the work-from-home strategy during the pandemic crisis. |
