The geoinformational methodology, it creates possibilities for rapid realization of complex analyses and correlations, impossible to perform efficiently with classical techniques, it also facilitates the visualization of complex information, spatially referenced to the real geographic coordinates. By developing the Numerical Relief Model for the study area of the Prut basin, obtaining share of influence of physical-geographical factors, namely geographic latitude, absolute altitude and slope aspect, was created the possibility of making the digital maps on the spatial distribution of excess rainfall within this area. The quality of spatial interpolation, is argued by the level of significance of each physicogeographic factor introduced in the model, as well as of the model as a whole. Rainfall excesses were identified based on the Rainfall Excess Index, Ip developed at regional level. |
