Rezumat

The author considers one of the dynasties – the Okushko family, representatives of the Belarusian land. In a relatively short period of time for history (the end of the 19th – the middle of the 20th century), they left a significant contribution to the art and science of Moldova. Okushko Vladimir Fulgentyevich, a native of Oshmyany, Vilnius province, now Grodno region of Belarus, a famous artist, one of the most prominent Belarusian figures in Moldova, founded the art school of Bessarabia and raised many famous artists. Okushko Rostislav Vladimirovich, becoming the successor of his father’s work, also brought up a new galaxy of Moldavian artists. A number of his graphic works were included in the fund of the National Art and History Museums of Moldova. The grandson – Okushko Vladimir Rostislavovich, professor, member of many international medical academies, made a huge contribution to the development of medicine in Moldova. The author shows that the Okushko clan – artists, scientists, devoted their lives to the Moldovan people and the beautiful Moldavian land that became their homeland “thanks to the freedom of conscience that prevailed in the family”.
