Rezumat | ||||||
Feminism has been defined by many authors, researchers from several social fields. The common definition results in the concern for gender equality and the promotion of equal rights for men and women. Patriarchal societies developed a common thinking that led to an inappropriate social attitude provoking the feminist movement. Since Plato and as we move into the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, feminism has become a priority and advocates for changing the status of women in society. Aspects such as education, the right to vote, cultural inequalities, legal inequalities, the position of women in the social and political scene have changed due to many voices in the literature that have contributed to the crystallization and then the development of the concept. |
