The present paper is an attempt to bring about the different sort of violence that children might suffer from. One tends to think of school violence and demotic violence, but there are very many different forms of violence children are exposed to. Differentiating between the different forms of violence is essential for the sake of properly handling the issues and intervening on the sake of the children. Providing safety for the child should be the first step before any intervention to be used when combating the violence against children. The literature suggested that providing the necessity safe environment is essential in any form of treatment. Victims of violence are vulnerable to a constellation of outcomes including dissociation, substance abuse, depression, and PTSD. Chronic and prolonged exposure to violence may evolve into a dysfunctional routine perpetrated in both family and community. It is very essential to understand the association between violence in early childhood and its prolonged consequences during adulthood. |
